‘The rainbow, a natural phenomenon noted for its design and its place in the sky, has been a favorite component of art and religion throughout history.’

The Rainbow Museum was started in 2011 by museum professional Simon Vierstra. The Rainbow Museum is an online museum.

In The rainbow as a symbol for a new global culture (Dutch, 2020), the museum’s initiator elaborates on how the idea for the museum was conceived and what the rainbow’s simple but powerful message for us could be.
